The Rockbridge Patriots Marine Corps League Detachment 1351 Color Guard was invited back for a 10th year to present the colors, lay a memorial wreath and raise the U.S. flag as part of the annual Memorial Day Observance at the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford.

This year Detachment 1351 was accompanied by representatives from Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 for the wreath-laying.

The keynote address was given by best-selling author Alex Kershaw, who spoke about why D-Day matters so much 75 years later.
