FAIRLEA, W.Va. — Greenbrier East High School, located in Fairlea, W.Va., just south of Lewisburg, is 50 years old and alumni have planned a three day reunion June 27-29 for all graduates as well as former faculty, staff and administration.

The main event, class gatherings on the West Virginia State Fairgrounds, a buffet dinner, concert by Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum selling country music icon, and a DJ and dancing following the concert.

On Thursday there will be an alumni golf tournament and an alumni basketball game, and on Friday, tours of the recently-remodeled high school and class events schedule for various venues in the Greenbrier Valley.  

The faculty, staff and administrators are invited to snacks and drinks at the Charlie Mackey Park shelter in Maxwelton 1-4 p.m.

A complete list of activities along with registration form for the Saturday events can be found at www.gehsalumni.com and the deadline is May 17 for registering for the Saturday fairground events.

Saturday events early will include a 5K race, an alumni band-led parade through downtown Lewisburg and an alumni baseball game. Activities are being added daily.

Greenbrier East opened in the fall of 1968 as a consolidated high school of Alder-son, Frankford, Greenbrier of Ronceverte, Lewisburg, Renick, White Sulphur Springs and Williamsburg high schools.
