The men of the Edgemont ARP Presbyterian Church at 2306 S. Church Ave. in Covington will be hosting their annual Mother’s Day breakfast on Sunday, May 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

This event has been held for more than 30 years at Edgemont ARP?Church.

Each year, the men of the church honor the women of the church, the women of the area and nationwide by planning, preparing and serving a wonderful breakfast on Mother’s Day. This year will be no exception.

This event is a highlight of the fellowship events held each year at Edgemont ARP Church.

Each year, the men of the church set out and plan the Mother’s Day breakfast, go to area grocery stores and produce markets and pick out supplies, fresh meats and eggs, fresh fruits and other products to be used in the annual Mother’s Day breakfast.

Also each year, the men try to be more imaginative by adding a new twist or item to the long-standing menu of scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, country ham, sausage gravy, biscuits, toast, hash brown potatoes, southern buttered grits, sliced tomatoes, fresh strawberries, cantaloupe, fresh jellies and jams, apple butter, fresh juices, a variety of cold cereal, milk, coffee and tea.

Over the years, the men of Edgemont ARP Church have fed hundreds of members and guests and have had nothing but rave reviews for their culinary skills and choice of menu for this event. This event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Breakfast servings begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Ragsdale Fellowship Hall of the Edgemont ARP Presbyterian Church.
