LEWISBURG, W.Va. —  Carnegie Hall is seeking volunteers to assist with the 28th Annual Carnegie Kids’ College during the weeks of July 12-16, July 19-23, and July 26-30.

Registration begins Monday, May 3. Children will be permitted to register for one-week session only.

Register by mail or at www.carnegiehallwv.org. Class sizes are limited, so register early. Student families will be notified of their child’s schedule two weeks before the beginning of Kids’ College. Paper brochures and registration forms are also available at the Carnegie Hall Box Office.

The cost of Kids’ College is $135 per week. There are two sessions each day, morning and afternoon. Children can choose to take up to five different arts and science classes per day.

Scholarships are available thanks to United Way of Greenbrier Valley and generous individual donors. To apply, indicate you would like a scholarship application when you enroll your child.

This year’s Kids’ College will be a unique opportunity for rising second through eighth grade students to expand their artistic and scientific horizons in a safe and nurturing environment.

Volunteers will assist teaching artists in classes such as pottery, creative writing, origami, baking, basket weaving, quilting, cooking, fashion, knitting, music, and more.

It is preferred that volunteers are able to commit to at least one full session for the entire week. This means that volunteers should be available each morning (8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.) for one week, or every afternoon (12:45 to 4:15 p.m.) for one week.

Placement is first-come, first-served and may be influenced by instructor requests and enrollment factors. Adults or youth entering ninth grade and above may sign up by visiting carnegiehallwv.org or hfs26.formsite.com/6usHp2/o4oec6txs8/index.html.
