First Presbyterian Church in Covington will continue the 11 a.m. Sunday services online using the YouTube Channel FPC Covington VA. The service is recorded and can be heard any time later.

The church welcomes the Rev. George Goodman to the pulpit beginning July 5, when he will become Temporary Supply Pastor.

He has conducted services for First Presbyterian on several occasions while he was serving as Associate Presbyter with the Presbytery of the Peaks.

After 20 years in that position, he retired in 2010 and has continued to serve as interim pastor and temporary supply for a number of churches, most recently Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg.

The virtual Sunday service includes all words for hymns, scriptures and prayers that show on the screen. Organist Sandra Minter plays the prelude, postlude and leads the hymns.

Daniel Pillow offers a daily Bible reading and prayer each morning at 8 o’clock using the YouTube Channel and is recorded for later listening also.

The adult Sunday school class is hosted by Joe Wilson on Zoom. Anyone interested in the class and discussion may call Joe at 862-7017 to sign up for Zoom.

First Presbyterian welcomes all to “come to church” virtually on our YouTube Channel.
