A grief support session, sponsored by Mountain Regional Hospice, will be held on Tuesday, April 27, at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center of First Christian Church in Covington.

Bill Gilliland, local minister and hospice chaplain/grief counselor, will facilitate the session.

“This is our first attempt to meet face-to-face since the COVID-19 pandemic erupted,” Gilliland said.  “It’s been a long 12 months, and so many folk have experienced deeper than usual bereavement in death and loss during that time. We want to provide this time of encouragement to those desiring it.”

Those planning to attend are asked to phone the hospice office at 862-8820 so that preparations can be made. Also, protective measures will be followed during the session (mask wearing and distancing).

The Family Life Center is located at 231 E. Fudge Street with plenty of parking in the rear.
