Edgemont ARP (Associate Reformed Presbyterian) Church will hold its annual  Christmas Eve Candlelight  Service on Thursday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m.

The church is located at  2306 S. Church  Ave. in Covington

The annual Candlelight  Service at Edgemont has been a  tradition in the Covington  area for over  40 years. This year, however, the service will be  different  with a few changes.

The traditional service will be a “Drive-in Service” held on the church  parking lot. The Rev. Donnie  Bowker, church pastor, will lead the service  outside  with a message.

Music Director Anne Scruggs and organist Beverly Barnett will lead traditional singing of Christmas carols for attendees to participate and enjoy from the  protection of their cars while listening to the service via  radio at 88.9 FM.

Pin light flashlights will be distributed to all who attend, to represent the candlelight segment of the service. The public is urged to attend and participation this event. Special parking ushers will be on hand to assist in parking and  leaving the church parking lot.

The Worship Committee, session, deacons and congregation of Edgemont ARP Church invite the community to join them and  enjoy this  special service.
